Brett Favre was born on October 10, 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi. Weighing in at 220 pounds and standing at 6-foot 2 inches, it’s easy to see why Favre is called one of the best quarterbacks of most time. Favre played his high-school basketball at Hancock North Central. His first love was the sport of baseball, while h-e played a few sports. His father was his coach in senior school, and ironically enough Favre rarely put the ball over five times in any given game. After high-school Favre decided to take his sport to Southern Mississippi because they were the only university to provide him a scholarship. Even though the teaching staff wanted him to play on the defensive part of the ball, Favre persuaded them to give a decide to try to him at quarterback. Despite starting the season while the seventh line quarterback, he took over as the starter in the next half of the next game of his freshman season. The rest is history as Favre dazzled the college basketball world for the rest of his time in the school.

In the 1991 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons picked Favre early in the next round. Favre just played one season with the Falcons, and was then dealt to the Green Bay Packers through the off season.

Favre has is still at it to this day, and had a fantastic career with the Packers. In 16 seasons in the NFL he’s passed for 414 touchdowns and 57,500 yards. These stats are the best that the league has ever seen, and must be for quite a while..
